The Financial Times highlighted Scout as a legal technology that is “Accelerating Business”
Since May 2022, the Financial Times, one of the world’s leading news organizations—along with research partner and legal think-tank RSGI—has been examining how legal services providers are helping in-house lawyers increase the speed of business in their Accelerating Business Special Report. As part of this report, one of the solutions they highlighted is Scout, Priori’s new outside counsel decision-enabling platform.
The Financial Times explains the problem that technologies like Scout are solving: “In-house lawyers’ experience of dealing with complex problems and multiple processes should put them at the heart of new efforts to speed up business outcomes. Yet that happens all too rarely in practice—if anything, the legal department can often become an obstacle instead of smoothing the way.”
The Accelerating Business Special Report culminated in an event last week recognizing the companies included in the series for the impact they have made on transforming legal services. Priori was proud to attend this event and be featured by the Financial Times for building Scout.
Scout leverages the powerful search and granular data-surfacing capabilities of our flagship Marketplace to give in-house legal teams actionable insight into their existing, trusted firm relationships. Currently in beta with Hearst, Marsh McLennan, Zimmer Biomet, a Fortune 10 company and law firm Orrick, Scout empowers these teams to make their spend decisions using data for the first time. The Financial Times noted that Scout demonstrates one way “technology is being used by in-house legal teams and law firms to improve speed and transparency in business processes.”
