I am excited to share that Priori was shortlisted for the Financial Times and RSG Intelligent Business Awards in the “Managing Legal Costs” category for the second year running for our work with Hearst, the world’s largest diversified media, information and services company, with more than 360 businesses operating globally across a broad range of industries, including media, financial services, healthcare, software, transportation and more.
This year’s case study, “Reaping the Benefits of Marketplace Savings - Year 2 of Priori’s Partnership with Hearst,” details our expanded relationship with the Hearst Office of General Counsel (“OGC”). In 2019, the Hearst OGC solidified and deepened department-wide adoption of Priori through a yearlong subscription retainer, allowing them to fully reap the benefits of Priori’s offering. By procuring attorneys through Priori for projects requiring overflow support, specialist, local or niche expertise, rather than from legacy “big law” firms, the Hearst OGC experienced 60% savings off what they were previously paying for outside counsel.
We’re continuing our momentum in this category from last year, when we were shortlisted for our Pilot with Hearst who in their first year using Priori realized meaningful efficiency savings in the time it took to identify the right lawyers for projects, while improving satisfaction with results.
We share this year’s honor with a host of leaders in the field including Plexus Legal, Wolters Kluwer ELM, Persuit and Accenture -- who won the category for creating streamlined contracting workflows in their legal department using offshoring and automation.
